Established in 1983, Lagan Homes is one of Northern Ireland’s foremost home builders. We have an impressive portfolio of completed developments in prime locations throughout Northern Ireland.

Our objective is to transform innovative and creative designs into practical and stylish homes. From choosing a desirable location and submitting a planning application, through to handing over our homes and beyond, our commitment remains focused on complete customer satisfaction.

LAND ACQUISITION AND PLANNING

Lagan Homes is currently seeking attractive land buying opportunities.

A unique combination of financial resources, technical capability and business flexibility means that we are able to acquire a range of sites in varied locations and we constantly consider taking the long term view of a site’s potential. We recognise that property development is a complex business and that a ‘one size fits all’ approach is unlikely to maximise the value of an individual site.

COLLABORATION AND CONSULTATION

We work collaboratively with Planning Authorities to ensure that the local community is properly consulted about development proposals and can share in the benefits that successful developments bring.

We are keen to increase our portfolio of land purchases and would welcome contact from landowners, agents or other interested parties.

Corporate responsibility and sound business ethics are the cornerstones of how each Lagan company operates. We take pride in fulfilling our duty to behave as a responsible business because we believe it is the right thing to do.

Whilst sustainability may be the greatest challenge facing our industry today, at Lagan we recognise that everything we do has an impact on people and the environment. As a responsible business we are committed to building sustainable communities in every location and in every sector where we work.

The environment matters

We aim to continuously improve our environmental performance and work together with our people, customers, business partners, other stakeholders and the public to create a better environment for all. Increasingly we employ green construction methods by reducing, recycling and re-using waste to optimise resources and minimise disruption.

We are committed to providing a safe place of work for everyone and we ensure our employees and partners understand their role in maintaining high safety standards. We run comprehensive health and safety training programmes alongside regular monitoring of procedures and practices as we continually look for ways to improve.

As a sustainable business we believe that it is our responsibility to contribute to the economic, environmental and social well-being of the communities where we live and work. Liaising with schools and neighbourhood groups, we provide support and funding for good causes and give help where it’s most needed.

Acting safely, responsibly and transparently is central to the Lagan business culture and will remain so as we move forward into the future.

Lagan Homes is part of the Lagan Group, one of the largest privately owned building materials, engineering and construction groups in Ireland.

The Group was established in 1965 as a family owned business and has grown organically and through acquisition, currently owning construction related businesses across the UK, Isle of Man and the Caribbean as well as in Ireland. The Group now has an annual turnover of around £400m and is amongst Ireland’s top ten civil engineering firms.

Main business activities include:

  • Quarry and asphalt materials
  • Cement, concrete and roof tile production
  • Clay brick production
  • Piling and civil engineering contracting
  • PFI/PPP contracting and equity participation
  • Commercial property investment and development
  • Residential property development

While individual Group companies can call on the combined financial and technical resources and expertise of the Group as required, they are free to pursue a policy of independent operation. The Group continues to follow the culture of a family business, equally committed to its customers as well as more than 1,500 staff.
